Great site! There are four of us down here in Pa that are attempting to make a change. We all started taking notice after hearing some of the stuff that is going on down here and what we see on our site. One guy in our group is not a member and has actually helped us take notice to what is going on.We got a35 cent raise and the council rep's got 6500.00 and whatever else they took from us.We are now operating equipment and doing labor that the labors should be doing and who knows what else. It is nice having someone that is not a member helping us and taking the attention. Most of us are not willing to go through the hassels that come with speaking up.Brother keep up the work!!!!!!!!Keep a eye on who all is getting health coverage from your fund, you may be surprised at the non union members that are covered that don't quilify!!!!!!!!111

 I am a steelworker in Canada and I am being silenced for being critical of my local union leadership. I have been charged and convicted of the trumped up charge of slander and publishing false and misleading reports. I have appealed and am currently waiting for an answer and decision. I like your website and what it stands for. It remains to be seen if we have freedom of speech within the steelworkers union in Canada. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am impressed! Local 1581 is having problems with our district council bullying us into moving to the far edges of our jurisdiction and pissing off all members. It is obvious to me that this trend seems to be nation wide. I am a trustee and have no say in the matter. I was told to go along with it or look at resigning. I will be resigning if it happens! Where's the union pride anymore with our leaders?!
