(1).the cba says I have to work every hour anybody works on the job.(but only when i want to.One has to wonder how you can make this demand when you have repeatedly refused overtime??I guess your special and get to pick and choose.I suppose enough dougy juice has made you special)
(a)This is pure Bullshit. The CBa says that he or she shall remain on the job(as in appointed or hired for the job)for as long as or whenever work is being performed by the employer. Further is says the Steward shall be employed(not work every hour) whenever any work is being performed.This is ambigious so we have to go by past practices. In my 22 years this HAS NEVER been interpreted as the Shop Steward is entitled to work every hour any carpenter works .It has always meant that for as long as the employer has work on site he must employ a shop steward for the job. to force an employer to cheat others out of hours because some dumb ass ba calls his buddy a shop steward is discriminatory on the part of the contractor if he complies

(A)BS the Foremen is the last to leave.Further the New York Sate Labor law allows for dischagre of any employee for just cause.it does not allow that to be applied in a discriminatory manner.Telling an employer that you must keep a worthless ass on the job and must lay off a competant worker because his buddy is a union ba and calls him a shop steward is a flat out lie and a scam being run by this steward and blacklock. For the sake of all workers on the job call their bluff and take it to court. First Blacklock is a pussy and will back down. Second he knows this is a scam and will never take it to court.
(3) we have shop steward rules and all must follow them
(A) Not anymore. If Blacklock and Sowalski do not obey the rules then all the rules are null and void for everybody. To send out their cronies as steward they have ignored the rule that all stewards must have training. Even with trained stewards on the bench they have sent out their pals and family members with no training to jobs as a steward. Ask Sowalski how his Pal Tim Hucthins who was only in the Union for 6 months got sent as shop steward for Target. Ask Blacklock how he appointed an apprentice as shop steward and ignored a journeyman with years of experience becuase he did not like that journeyman.He told the job supervisor the apprentice was more qualifed because he attended a Union meeting!!You ignore the rule and there are no rules

Section 24-F -MEMBERSHIP UNION PARTICIPATION PROGRAM
Effective January 1,2012, the Council shall receive working
dues of $500.00
per year from every carpenter who has
performmed carpentry work for a signatory contractorin the
Council's jurisdiction during the calendar year.
A $500.00 assessment shall be due on the first day of the
month following the first day of work performed in the
Council's jurisdiction each year and must be paid not later
than Aprtl 15th'" of the following year, provided however,
that any member who has satisfied his or her requirement in
the Membership Union Participation Program for the
applicable year will receive a credit for the $500.00
assessment requirement.

lies by UBC Rat Bastard "Hatchet Jack" Garrison the New
Council is attempting to extort the members with a new
skills sheet. Included on the sheet is the statement
"I ____________________________________(Print Name), assign
to the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters, from my
earnings, a sum equal to the Union’s membership dues,
assessments, and initiation fee (the Union will notify
my Employer of the current amount). I authorize and direct
my Employer to deduct such sum and remit the money to
the Union monthly. This assignment is irrevocable for one
(1) year from this date or until the termination of the
Labor
Agreement, whichever occurs first. This assignment shall be
renewed automatically, for successive12 month periods,
unless the Union and my employer receive my written notice
of termination of this assignment not more than twenty
(20) days and not less than ten (10) days prior to renewal
of the assignment. This authorization is effective
regardless
of my status as a member, non-member, or “financial core”
payer and applies regardless of any future resignation of
membership on my part.
I hereby authorize the NORTHEAST REGIONAL COUNCIL OF
CARPENTERS to act as my collective bargaining
agent in dealing with my employer in regard to wages, hours,
and other conditions of employment.
