- We have finally found the elusive NYS Labor Management Council which goes with the Oswego PO box. It contains a location and Telephone Numbers. The Chairman, Vice Chairman and Trustees are a who's who of Councils Elite. Their leader is Mike Forde. For those of you that don't know him he was convicted by the Feds, un convicted, and is headed for trial again It is amazing that this guy still is holding office in the NYC District Council.
- What does the Labor Council do?? The 990 says it "Promotes Carpentry in NY" I thought that's what we were already paying them for. So our Union officers start a non profit which they are the board and trustees of. They own it. They have meetings which their LM 30s say they get paid for. They use their positions as Union Officers to funnel money by donations to a non profit they own and control privately. The 990 says "Contractor Contributions" I don't get it. I thought we had an organization to promote Carpentry called a UNION. I thought we were already paying these officers to promote Carpentry. So if Union Officers start a non profit and collect money from contractors does the UBC own it.. Are they on salary when they attend meetings. Who owns the stock and assets. Are they governed by UBC bylaws. Which UBC By Law directed them to create a Non Profit??. They have a phone number listed which is 315-343-9259. This number is not listed to the NYS Labor Management Council. It is listed as the Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters at 447 Route 20 Oswego NY. I never knew the Council had an office at this location in Oswego. It does not appear in Council financial forms or on the web site. So what is at 447 Route 20 Oswego NY? A house and 29 acre parcel that is owned by Constance Simmons wife of John J Simmons officer of the Empire Council.
